On September 20, Professor Zhang Tiande from the School of Mathematics of Shandong University was invited to give a wonderful report entitled "Mathematics Competition for College Students and Cultivation of talents". The report was held by Qi Haitao, vice president of the college. Some teachers and students interested in mathematics competitions attended the report.
Professor Zhang's report was launched in five aspects:
the organization of the mathematics competition in Shandong,
the results of the competition in Shandong,
the achievements of the mathematics teaching reform,
the results of training innovative talents
the analysis of the mathematics competition.
He explained his understanding of mathematics competition with humorous language and vivid examples. At the same time, Professor Zhang shared many curriculum resources and approaches with teachers and students, which enhanced teachers' confidence in participating in mathematics competitions, stimulated students' enthusiasm in learning mathematics and laid a solid foundation for future mathematics learning and competitions. After the lecture, Professor Zhang had an interactive exchange with the teachers and students present.
Zhang Tiande is a professor at the School of Mathematics of Shandong University, a lecturer at Mount Tai School, director of the Higher Mathematics Committee of Shandong Mathematics Association, head of the Shandong Division of the National College Students Mathematics Competition, deputy director and secretary-general of the Shandong Division of the National Micro-curriculum Competition, a mentor of high school students' talent program, and a distinguished professor of Calculus, an advanced course of Chinese universities. For more than 30 years, he has been engaged in the teaching and scientific research of basic mathematics courses in institutions of higher learning. He has given lectures on advanced mathematics (calculus), linear algebra, probability theory and mathematical statistics, complex variable functions, integral transformation and other courses, and has given lectures on three university mathematics and competition courses in MOOC of China University in the past three years.
