Noticement FOR MD-PhD

the School of Mathematics and Statistics

I. Recruitment Plan 

In 2020, the school of Mathematics and Statistics plans to recruit 2 graduate students for MD-PhD. In case of dissatisfaction with admission, the "application-examination" candidate selection will be organized (in case of dissatisfaction with admission, this plan will be announced separately).

II. Selection Conditions

1, In line with the "Shandong university regulations on the continuous training of graduate students" 

2. Postgraduates with excellent performance in various fields of 2018 grade can apply for the qualification for the Ph.D. exam.

3. The CET-6 is not lower than 428 or the graduate student's first foreign language course' score is not lower than 70.

III. Implementation Plan

1. Before December 2, 2019, all graduate students who are interested in this plan should sign up online and submit relevant materials to the Educational Administration Office (Room 110, Tudonghuan Building).

2. The length of study is 5 years.   

3. Examination methods: interview and written examination. 

Final result = comprehensive quality assessment (60%)+ written examination (40%)

Content of comprehensive quality assessment: The interview time for each student should generally be not less than 30 minutes, of which the student's statement should be 10 minutes and the expert examination should be not less than 20 minutes. Those with a total score below 60 will not be admitted. 

The time of the written examination will be 3 hours. The written content is mathematics synthesis and English synthesis. For the sake of fairness, the written examination scope will not be disclosed in advance. 

Written examination result = mathematics synthesis *80%+English synthesis *20%  

4. Examination schedule: 

Written examination: December 5, 8:30-11:30 

Comprehensive quality assessment: December 5, 16:10-18:10 

Place of examination: Room 208 Tudonghuan Building 

Ⅳ. Admission Methods 

1, According to the students' first volunteer teacher in the final results from high to low order, the first into the second round of sorting. 

2. Candidates entering the second round will be selected on the basis of their final scores from high to low. 

3. If someone gives up his right, make up for it in sequence.
